What Background Urgent Care Physicians Bring:

Education

\n

\n
• Graduate of an accredited Medical or Osteopathic School
\n
• Completion of an accredited ABMS-approved residency
\n
• PGY 3 or beyond in an accredited ABMS approved residency.   
\n

\n

Licensure/Certification(s) Mandatory

\n

\n
• Board certified or Board eligible in area of specialty
\n
• Current State of Minnesota Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy license (or ability to obtain a Minnesota Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopath license.
\n
• Valid DEA Registration

  • Robbinsdale Hospital, established in 1954, is a recognized top Level 1 Trauma center for 25 years, as well as serving as a Level II pediatric trauma center, and Level III NICU. The hospital was recognized in 2023 as a Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News & World Report for seven types of care: Colon cancer surgery, COPD, diabetes, heart attack, hip replacement, kidney failure and stroke.

  • Maple Grove Hospital, established in 2009, is recognized as a top hospital in the state for Women and Children Care, with a Level III NICU, and is the largest Family Birth Center in the state (~5,000 deliveries per year and over 50,000 babies delivered). The hospital was recognized in 2023 by U.S. News & World Report for high performing procedures and conditions in spinal fusion, COPD, hip replacement, knee replacement and pneumonia.
