Assistant Coach, Equestrian

Brown University Athletics & Recreation is currently seeking candidates for the Assistant Coach, Equestrian position in Providence, Rhode Island. The intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate in the NCAA‑D1. This role is a part‑time, 11‑month position that will assist the Head Coach with compliance, recruiting, scheduling, and team travel logistics. The position is not benefits‑eligible. Major Tasks Ensure compliance with NCAA, Ivy League, and university policy and procedures. Assist with team travel planning and logistics. Support recruiting and alumni outreach. Help manage the team roster. Support the Head Coach as needed. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Collegiate, professional, high school, or club sports coaching experience, preferred. All division employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules. The duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA and Ivy League rules and regulations. Any violations must be reported to the compliance office. Employees in coaching positions must receive annual rules education on NCAA legislation related to recruiting and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Division). The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background and DMV check satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
