Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' mental health needs, followed by the development of personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based methodologies. Deliver therapy sessions using proven therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other relevant modalities tailored to meet client needs. Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines, ensuring the confidentiality and security of client information. Engage in collaborative case consultations with peers to enhance treatment outcomes and share insights on effective strategies. Educate clients and their families regarding mental health issues, coping strategies, and resources available within the community. Maintain current knowledge of best practices and emerging research in the mental health field to continually enhance service delivery. Patient Population / Client Focus The Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and various psychological challenges. You will support clients from different age groups and backgrounds, adapting your approach to cater to their unique life experiences and mental health needs. By providing empathetic and culturally sensitive therapy, you will help clients navigate their challenges and work towards recovery. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology is required. Possession of an active LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) license in Arizona. Demonstrated experience with solution-focused interventions and psychotherapy techniques, ideally 2 years or more. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients. Critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans. A team-oriented mindset, capable of working well in a collaborative environment focused on client outcomes. Preferred Experience Previous experience in a community health setting or with telehealth services is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and teletherapy platforms. Advanced training in specific therapeutic modalities or certifications relevant to mental health counseling. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
