Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 36 or 48 hours per week, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 41-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Contract lengths of 13-26 weeks available with flexible scheduling options
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• 24 hours of unit orientation with first-week hospital orientation classes
• Isolation area for COVID patients; multi-level care environment (step-down patients cared for by specialized staff)

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Experience with blood product administration, heparin protocols, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, non-invasive airway management, PCA, peripheral line care, insulin drip titration, wound care/wound vac, and IV heparin drips
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Willingness to float as needed within the facility
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information:

• Navy scrubs required
• Contract staff will be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters
• Up to 7 days of time off may be approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Pre-start online modules (approximately 8-10 hours) must be completed before beginning assignment
• Former employees must wait 12 months before applying
