Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner will work in a supportive and dynamic onsite setting at an assisted living facility. Within this environment, you will frequently interface with patients who have varying levels of independence, meaning you will need to tailor your approach to care based on individual needs. Our facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology for diagnostics and patient monitoring, ensuring that practitioners can deliver the highest standard of care. We boast a collaborative culture, with five physicians and five nurse practitioners available for consultation and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations to assess patients' orthopedic health.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests including blood work and imaging studies.
• Diagnose a range of acute and chronic conditions related to spine and joint health.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, involving both medical interventions and rehabilitation services.
• Prescribe medications as necessary to manage pain and support recovery.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
• Educate patients and their families about orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and preventative care practices.
• Promote wellness and health maintenance, guiding patients through regular screenings and proactive health measures.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, the Nurse Practitioner will primarily interact with elderly patients residing in an assisted living environment, many of whom may be dealing with chronic orthopedic issues related to aging. Successful candidates will demonstrate empathy and understanding, as they will not only address the medical needs of these patients but also offer emotional support and education about maintaining mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with specialization as Nurse Practitioner.
• Valid New York State Nurse Practitioner license with an ANP/FNP certification.
• DEA certification is mandatory.
• Experience in either acute care, internal medicine, family health, or urgent care settings is preferred.
• Strong understanding of health regulations and ethics in patient care.

Preferred Experience

While a background in orthopedics is optimal, we value clinicians with a broad spectrum of primary care experience. Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills, possess a collaborative attitude, and exhibit a commitment to lifelong learning. Bilingual proficiency will be considered a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Our competitive salary range of USD 140,000 – 180,000 annually reflects the experience and qualifications of selected candidates. In addition to a robust salary, we offer comprehensive benefits, including:
