Founded on rigorous scientific inquiry and a willingness to challenge long-held assumptions, Revolution Medicines is committed to changing the trajectory of disease for patients with RAS-addicted cancers worldwide.Our people are united by a shared way of working: follow the science, challenge assumptions, act with urgency and hold ourselves to a high standard of rigor—all in service of patients.The Opportunity:Reporting to the Executive Director, US Lung Analytics & Insights, the Director, US Lung Market Research will serve as the US Market Research lead for Revolution Medicines’ Lung cancer portfolio.This role will partner closely with US Commercial, US Market Access, Global Insights, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Business Operations to generate actionable insights that inform portfolio strategy, launch readiness, commercialization planning, and business performance.The role requires a strong understanding of the NSCLC cancer treatment landscape, patient journey, biomarker-driven markets, and oncology data assets.This position is based at our Redwood City, CA headquarters, with flexibility for remote candidates willing to travel regularly to the office.Responsibilities include:Leads, designs, and executes US primary market research projects with HCPs, patients, and payorsInitiates and facilitates activities that enhance partners’ knowledge regarding the relevant US market and potential product attitudes, usage, market dynamics, and competition (for example, development of treatment flows, target product profiles, opportunity assessments, and market landscape research).Shares the voice of the US community (e.g., physicians, patients, payors) to the organization by maintaining and communicating a holistic understanding of the marketplace synthesized from primary and secondary sources.Reinforces market research best practices, identify market research and data sources, vendor options, and methodologies that are best suited to address a business need. Manages third parties associated with this function.Communicates and aligns key internal stakeholders around market research objectives and outputs including qualifying the results based on the strength of the data and identifying limitations.Develops and presents timely final reports and actionable recommendations to key stakeholders, focusing on key findings and relevant implications to each stakeholder group, and senior leadership.Communicate insights and strategic implications to senior leadership through clear, concise, and compelling recommendations.Shapes situation analysis as a part of launch planning to provide a comprehensive understanding of the market. Partner with cross-functional teams like marketing, sales (when appropriate), access, and medical to provide a clear view of the market.Demonstrates the ability to quickly understand complex markets, disease states, competitive landscapes, and relevant market and managed care dynamics.Exhibits analytical rigor in the valuation of business opportunities and the quantification of risk.Partner with US Forecasting, US Data Analytics, and Competitive Intelligence colleagues to develop an integrated view of market performance and future growth opportunities.Travels as needed.Required Skills, Experience and Education:Bachelor's degree required (advanced degree preferred) with 10+ years of progressive experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or strategic consulting role with 6+ years of experience in a strategic analytics role.Oncology market research experience required; NSCLC cancer experience strongly preferred.Experience in market development and new product launches.Extensive primary research and secondary analytical skills required; ability to translate the data and learning into actionable recommendations for business growth.Track record of being a collaborative team player, and adaptive to meet the needs of a growing businessStrong problem solver with experience leveraging a variety of research and analytical vendors, study designs, and building quality research vendor partnershipsDemonstrated ability to influence senior management and key business partners.Proven experience in a smaller, rapidly growing, company.Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines.Ability to represent Revolution Medicines well with internal and external stakeholders, including strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.Entrepreneurial mindset, with a tolerance for ambiguity, and a passion for helping cancer patients.Preferred Skills:MBA, MPH, MS, or PhD.Deep understanding of NSCLC and biomarker-driven oncology markets.Experience supporting targeted oncology therapies.Prior experience in a growth-stage biotechnology company.#LI-JS1 #LI-OnsiteThe base pay salary range for this full-time position for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA is listed below.
