Metrology Technician I - 1st Shift | $20/hr

Location: Milwaukee,WI
Schedule: 1st Shift (Daytime Hours)
Pay: $20/hour

Are you detail-oriented and enjoy hands-on work with precision tools? We're looking for a Metrology Technician I to join our team! In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring product quality by performing inspections, measurements, and testing in a lab environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone with inspection or manufacturing experience who wants to grow their skills in a stable, team-focused environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and mechanical testing
• Work with equipment like calipers, force gauges, tensile testers, ovens, and more
• Read and interpret basic part drawings and specifications
• Accurately document results, defects, and test data
• Identify failure modes and potential root causes
• Manage and track test samples
• Use systems like JDE, SQC Pack, and EQMS
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of inspection or testing experience (lab or manufacturing preferred)
• Experience using measurement tools and test equipment
• Basic math, computer, and print-reading skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work both independently and on a team
• Good communication skills (written & verbal)

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with injection molding
• Familiarity with quality systems or inspection software

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and move throughout the shift
• Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Ability to work overtime when needed
