Location: Playa Vista, CA 90094

Duration: 13 Weeks (Onsite)

Shift: Monday-Friday: 11:30 AM - 10:00 PM
Saturday-Sunday: 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Every other weekend required

XXXX: $27/hr.

Summary:

Responsible for patient relations, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and handling referrals and authorizations in a medical office setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary point of contact for patient relations in person and by phone.
Greet patients and assist in resolving concerns and escalating as appropriate.
Check patients in/out, collect co-payments, give receipts, and reconcile payments.
Verify patient demographics and insurance information in CS-Link/Epic.
Schedule appointments and complete patient registration.
Process and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types.
Handle patient/provider correspondence.
Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients.
Sanitize workspace following department guidelines.

Qualifications:

SD/GED.
Flu vaccination (no exceptions/no declinations).
Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans.
1 year of recent experience in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting.
Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
Preferred: 2+ years' experience as Patient Service Representative.
Preferred: Experience with CS-Link/Epic.
Preferred: Understanding of medical terminology.
