We are seeking a dedicated and insightful Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient clinic in South San Francisco, California. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in helping patients recover from injuries, regain strength, and improve their mobility. Work Environment

This position is based in an outpatient clinic setting, primarily focused on home care, which allows for a personalized approach to therapy in the most comfortable environment for our patients. You will enjoy a schedule that balances patient care and administrative responsibilities, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This positioned hybrid approach fosters flexibility and ensures consistency in patient follow-ups and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough movement assessments for each patient, establishing a clear picture of their functional capabilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement tailored therapy plans that address individual recovery goals, drawing on both best practices and innovative techniques.
• Provide treatment through various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training.
• Monitor each patient's progress and adapt treatment strategies based on ongoing evaluations and patient feedback.
• Educate patients about their conditions, offering guidance on exercises and lifestyle modifications that promote long-term recovery and injury prevention.
• Engage in regular multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient outcomes and refine treatment approaches for improved effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our clinic promotes a supportive community atmosphere that encourages open communication between therapists and patients, allowing for tailored care that directly addresses the unique challenges faced by individuals of different ages and physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Master's or Doctorate is preferred.
• An active California Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain one is essential for this role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop personalized treatment plans that address patients' specific needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively motivate, educate, and connect with patients to foster a positive therapeutic relationship.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is required, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus to ensure efficient documentation and patient management.
• Demonstrated expertise in using advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities tailored to a variety of conditions.

Compensation and Benefits
