Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to standards of care and the nursing process.
• Assess patients in the post-anesthesia recovery phase; monitor vitals, manage pain, and address emerging concerns.
• Develop and implement a plan of care, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and promote a safe, healing environment.
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care, expected recovery, and discharge plans.
• Delegate appropriately, supervise nursing staff as needed, and participate in discharge planning for continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality measures and patient safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or approved equivalent (CPR is acceptable per policy: BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS)
• At least two years of recent RN experience in the field; acute care experience preferred
• Education: BSN preferred
• Ability to work in a high-acuity post-anesthesia setting and comply with organizational vaccination requirements as a condition of employment
