VP of Operations / COO

Role Overview age1 (formerly The Longevity Fund), a venture capital firm backing founders building therapeutics, tools, and technologies that increase healthy lifespan, is hiring a VP of Operations/COO to manage operations for the firm, including legacy Longevity Fund vehicles. The role is likely on track to become a Partner within 1-2 years. Key Responsibilities Own fund operations, fundraising, investor relations, portfolio support, community, finance, and firm strategy Drive the operations of the fund's next raise – pipeline, data room preparation, diligence requests, meeting prep, and investor updates Manage internal operations team and part-time operational support (CFO/fund admin, tax advisors, audit, payroll) Oversee financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting across the fund lifecycle Own portfolio company relationships and lead growth of age1's portfolio support platform Lead community efforts, own the CRM, and support sourcing; support the investment team's decision-making with an emphasis on portfolio construction and modeling Contribute to setting fund priorities and firm-level initiatives alongside the partners Qualifications 5-10+ years of operational experience at a fast‑paced startup or equivalent, ideally including experience operating with a venture fund Strong financial fluency: budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and fund mechanics Excellent written communication for investor and founder-facing materials High ownership, low ego, and comfort operating with minimal existing infrastructure About age1 age1 partners closely with scientists and operators to turn frontier longevity ideas into category‑defining companies, with a globally distributed team based in San Francisco and Boston.
