Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged students as a Special Education Teacher. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and conducting evaluations for a caseload of 30-40 students across several educational facilities in the Edison, NJ area. You’ll work full-time over the entire academic year, engaging with diverse learners to help them achieve their fullest potential.

Starting as soon as possible, your schedule aligns with school hours, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, continuing through June 23, 2027. While the home base is Colonial Middle School, your day-to-day responsibilities will rotate between multiple sites, fostering a dynamic and engaging work environment. The primary focus will be elementary-level students requiring specialized educational support, with an emphasis on thorough evaluations.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate—SPED/Learning Disability Teacher
• NJ Technology Certificate required
• Strong background in Special Education at the elementary level
• Proven experience with educational evaluations
• Adaptability and willingness to travel to several locations as needed
• Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized instruction to students with learning disabilities
• Evaluate students’ educational needs and develop suitable plans
• Collaborate with other educators and support staff across multiple school sites
• Document progress reports and maintain accurate records
• Meet state and district compliance requirements
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
