Position Overview The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Statewide Sexual Behavior Problems Specialty Administrator. Under administrative direction, this position will plan, develop, and evaluate programs for child victims of sexual abuse and the juvenile offender population. As a licensed clinical social worker, provides clinical oversight and expertise regarding sexual behavior problems in children and youth served by the Department and serves as lead central office liaison for matters pertaining to residential resource development. Essential Functions Serves as the Department's Sexual Behavior Problems (SBP) Specialty Administrator. Serves as lead central office liaison for matters pertaining to residential resource development. Serves as full line supervisor. Develops and prepares periodic status reports on all Unusual Incident Report activities related to children and youth with sexual behavior problems and child victims of sexual abuse target populations. Serves as the Department's spokesperson on SBP related issues. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires a master's degree in social work, with appropriate state licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Requires three years of administrative experience in child welfare, including experience working with youth with sexual behavioral problems, adjudicated juvenile sexual offenders, or trauma reactive sexual abuse victims. Preferred Qualifications 4 years of professional experience managing or conducting behavioral health and clinical service programs specific to sexual behavior issues. 3 years of professional experience conducting service needs assessments in a social work area. 3 years of professional experience planning and administering program utilization for behavioral health and specialized clinical services. Possession of Illinois Sex Offender Management Board approved provider status. 3 years of experience supervising professional social work staff in a public or private organization. 3 years of professional experience conducting quality review in a public or private organization. 3 years of professional experience serving in a liaison capacity for a public or private organization. Conditions of Employment Requires ability to pass a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history. Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, including overnight stays as appropriate, a valid driver's license, daily access to an automobile, and proof of vehicle insurance. The Illinois Governmental Ethics Act (5 ILCS 420/4A et seq.) requires certain state officials and employees to file annual Statements of Economic Interest with the Office of the Secretary of State that will be made available for examination and copying by the public. All employees required to file a Statement of Economic Interest are also required to file the Supplemental Statement of Economic Interest with the Executive Ethics Commission.
