Position Overview: 

Mass Virtual is seeking a DoW SkillBridge Field Operations Specialist to support customer demonstrations, business development events, trade shows, conferences, and other customer-facing activities. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of technology, logistics, business development, and customer experience. The SkillBridge participant will learn Mass Virtual’s products and demonstration environments to help ensure our team has the equipment, systems, and logistical support necessary to execute successful customer engagements. The ideal candidate is technically capable, highly organized, comfortable troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and able to remain composed when resolving issues in fast-paced, customer-facing environments. 

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Demo Support

• Learn Mass Virtual's products, demonstration environments, and standard operating procedures.
• Set up, configure, test, operate, and break down equipment used for customer demonstrations and events.
• Support computers, XR/VR headsets, tablets, displays, networking equipment, peripherals, and other demonstration hardware.
• Perform pre-event system checks to ensure equipment and software are operational before demonstrations.
• Troubleshoot common hardware, software, connectivity, configuration, and peripheral issues.
• Escalate more complex technical issues to the appropriate internal technical teams.
• Maintain familiarity with standard demo configurations and recovery procedures.
• Assist Business Development and other customer-facing personnel during live demonstrations.

Event & Logistics Support

• Coordinate the preparation, packing, transportation, setup, accountability, and return of demonstration equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventories of demo equipment, accessories, cables, cases, and supporting materials.
• Prepare equipment and materials for trade shows, conferences, customer demonstrations, and other business development activities.
• Help coordinate shipping and receiving equipment as needed.
• Identify missing, damaged, outdated, or nonfunctional equipment before it affects an event.
• Support event setup and teardown, including booth technology and demonstration stations.
• Assist with event readiness checklists and after-action reviews to continuously improve execution.

Customer & Business Development Support

• Develop sufficient product knowledge to explain basic system functionality and support demonstrations.
• Provide professional, responsive support to Mass Virtual team members, customers, and partners during events.
• Understand the objectives of each customer engagement and help ensure the demonstration environment supports those objectives.
• Represent Mass Virtual professionally at customer sites, conferences, trade shows, and other external events.

Required Qualifications

• Current U.S. service member eligible to participate in the DoW SkillBridge program.
• Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated ability to learn unfamiliar technologies.
• Experience setting up, operating, maintaining, or troubleshooting computers and electronic equipment.
• Working knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, mobile devices, networking concepts, and common software troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to systematically diagnose technical problems rather than relying solely on predefined instructions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage equipment and logistical requirements across multiple activities.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and customer-facing environments.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with technical and business teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
• Ability to work on-site in Orlando, Florida . Candidates must currently reside in the Orlando area or be willing to relocate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following areas is beneficial but not required:

• VR, AR, XR, simulation, gaming, or training systems.
• Computer or electronics maintenance and troubleshooting.
• IT support, help desk, communications, networking, or systems administration.
• Military simulation or training systems.
• Audio/visual equipment and presentation systems.
• Trade show, conference, exercise, or event logistics.
• Property accountability, supply, logistics, or equipment management.
• Customer-facing technical support.
• Military instructor, training, operations, or exercise support roles.

Military occupational specialties involving IT, communications, electronics, simulation, training, logistics, maintenance, operations, or technical support may translate particularly well to this opportunity.
