In this role, you’ll support key financial processes including sales reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, and compliance efforts—playing an important part in maintaining the financial integrity of a rapidly growing, multi‑location business. This is an onsite role based in Omaha, NE, with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and rotating on‑call support. Position Summary The Staff Accountant will support accurate sales reporting, reconciliations, and month‑end close. Manage receivables and collections, prepare tax filings, and support audits. Maintain fixed assets, account for leases, and review travel and expense reports. Ensure detail, accuracy, clear communication, and confidentiality in a fast‑paced environment. Location: Omaha, NE | Onsite Status: Full‑time | Salaried Schedule: Monday–Friday + rotating on‑call availability Responsibilities Sales and Revenue Support : Review daily sales for accuracy. Assist clinic employees with sales and payment processing issues. Reconcile weekly and monthly sales and accounts receivable. Bank and Accounts Reconciliation : Reconcile bank accounts. Participate in monthly financial close processes (account analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, balancing accounts). Accounts Receivable and Collections : Monitor accounts receivable balances. Assist with collection efforts. Expense Management : Assist with travel and expense report review and approval. Financial Reporting and Compliance : Prepare property tax returns. Prepare state and local filings. Assist with annual preparation of 1099s. Assist with annual audits. Fixed Assets and Leasing : Assist with maintaining fixed assets. Assist with accounting for the leasing portfolio under GAAP (ASC 842). Other Duties : Perform additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as needed or assigned by leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives. Participate in other ad‑hoc accounting related projects. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1+ year of experience in general accounting functions, including general ledger and multi‑unit environments Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and organization Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and problem‑solve in a fast‑paced environment Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Self‑starter with the ability to work both independently and cross‑functionally Ability to support rotating on‑call coverage Preferred Experience with accounting ERP systems Knowledge of sales and accounts receivable processes Familiarity with Google Sheets and Google Docs Benefits Include Medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance with in 30 days Unlimited PTO - work with your manager and take time as needed 6 paid holidays that we are closed $50 cell phone stipend paid out monthly 401k retirement plan with vested 4% employer match after 90 days Career advancement opportunities + Culture/environment Employees and their spouse or legal partner receive free laser hair removal services All potential employees of Milan will be required to successfully pass a pre‑employment background check before employment.
