Chief Operating Officer

Baths R Us is seeking an experienced, results-driven Chief Operating Officer to join our executive leadership team and help lead the company through its next stage of growth. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in both Operations and Sales and knows how to build structure, strengthen leadership, improve performance, and scale a fast-moving organization.

Successful candidate will be comfortable moving between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution - reviewing company performance, coaching leaders, identifying operational gaps, strengthening sales results, and ensuring departments work together toward shared goals.

What You Will Do

• Lead and oversee day-to-day business operations across multiple departments and locations.
• Provide leadership, direction, and accountability to Sales, Operations, Marketing and other key department leaders.
• Drive company revenue, profitability, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
• Develop and manage company-wide KPIs, scorecards, goals, and performance expectations.
• Analyze sales performance, including lead conversion, close rates, average ticket, revenue, margins, and individual and team performance.
• Partner with Sales leadership to strengthen sales processes, coaching, accountability, and overall production.
• Improve operational processes from the initial customer experience through project completion.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and performance gaps and implement practical solutions.
• Build scalable systems and processes that support continued company growth.
• Ensure departments communicate effectively and operate as one organization rather than independent silos.
• Develop and mentor managers and department leaders while reinforcing a strong culture of accountability.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and strategic business planning.
• Monitor financial and operational performance and take action when results are not meeting expectations.
• Help establish short- and long-term company goals and ensure leaders execute against them.
• Support expansion into new markets and help ensure new locations are operationally successful.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality, efficiency, and profitability.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced executive who is a builder, operator, and leader - not someone who simply maintains existing processes.

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Operations, Sales, General Management, or a closely related field.
• Significant experience leading both sales-driven and operational teams.
• Previous experience as a COO, President, VP of Operations, General Manager, Regional Executive, or similar senior leadership role.
• Proven experience scaling a growing organization and developing the infrastructure needed to support growth.
• Strong understanding of sales KPIs, forecasting, conversion metrics, compensation structures, and sales accountability.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including experience with budgets, P&Ls, margins, forecasting, and profitability.
• Demonstrated ability to develop leaders and hold teams accountable to measurable results.
• Experience implementing processes, systems, KPIs, and performance-management structures.
• Ability to use data to identify problems and make sound business decisions.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• A high sense of urgency and willingness to take ownership of results.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Industry Experience

Home improvement, remodeling, construction, in-home sales, or another high-growth consumer service industry is strongly preferred. Experience from adjacent industries such as roofing, windows, HVAC, restoration, solar, or similar home services may also translate well.

Location & Relocation

This is an on-site executive leadership position based in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The COO will work closely with ownership and the executive leadership team and is expected to maintain a regular presence at our Cleveland-area headquarters.
