Litigation Attorney - Insurance Defense

Job Overview A law firm seeks a litigation attorney specializing in Texas insurance defense, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death cases in Houston. Maintain direct contact with claims professionals, insureds, and clients. Take and defend fact witness and expert depositions. Prepare for and participate in mediations and settlement conferences. Handle written discovery and motion practice. Develop and execute case strategy in collaboration with the team. Prepare cases for trial, including witness and exhibit preparation. Communicate clearly, promptly, and professionally with all stakeholders. Requirements Active Texas Bar license (or pending admission). Commitment to 2,000 billable hours annually, with emphasis on efficiency and quality. Strong written and oral advocacy skills. Professional judgment, reliability, and respect for deadlines. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Texas Bar admission (or pending). Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
