As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Healthcare Response Patrol in Falls Church, VA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $22.71 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity. Respond to incidents, behavioral health‑related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and report unauthorized access or policy concerns. Complete detailed activity, incident, and patrol reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Meet hospital vaccine requirements. Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting. Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field. The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
