Position Overview

Family Wise Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated Full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role focuses on delivering specialized mental health care to individuals affected by trauma, including those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Work Environment

This position allows for a remote work setting, offering flexibility and convenience while ensuring that our clients receive uninterrupted access to mental health services. The position requires a work schedule from Monday to Friday, with potential flexibility depending on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories, which guide personalized treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience-building practices.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), catering to diverse client needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that encourage clients to process trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote healing.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary professionals to coordinate comprehensive and integrated care for patients.
• Respond to trauma-related emergencies by providing crisis intervention and immediate support.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, while sharing resources available to them.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in case consultations, participate in team meetings, and contribute to ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care.
• Stay current with industry research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work predominantly with trauma survivors who come from diverse backgrounds and have varied experiences. Many clients may be dealing with conditions such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and related issues that stem from traumatic experiences. Your expertise will provide them with the essential support needed for recovery and resilience.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degrees and licensure will be preferred.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, specifically focusing on trauma treatment.
• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and proven experience with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations, with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, enhancing client management and documentation efficiency.
• Ability to work effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and shared goals.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD $80,000 to $104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
