Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and outline tailored therapeutic strategies.

• Design and execute individualized treatment plans, focusing on recovery from trauma and fostering resilience in clients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address patient needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing their experiences, improving coping mechanisms, and promoting emotional healing.

• Collaboratively work with psychiatrists and fellow mental health professionals to deliver integrated care and optimize treatment outcomes.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies or high-stress situations.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and other valuable resources available to them.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Continuously update your knowledge base through research and training on the latest advancements and evidence-based practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will support primarily include individuals who have encountered traumatic life events and are seeking compassionate, expert guidance in their recovery. Your role is instrumental in helping these individuals reclaim their lives, navigate their emotions, and develop a toolkit for healthy coping and resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Colorado is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating your ability to provide effective mental health care.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Detailed experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions and group therapy sessions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging circumstances, demonstrating professionalism and empathy.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, along with essential computer skills to support telehealth operations.

• A collaborative spirit to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team is crucial for this role.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
