This role is pivotal in delivering specialized trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing emotional distress stemming from traumatic experiences. Work Environment

This is a remote position that allows for flexibility while working from home. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but some adjustments may be necessary based on patient needs. As part of a supportive team, you will collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals to provide an integrated approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to identify patients' psychological needs, trauma history, and strength-based approaches to treatment.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at recovery and resilience, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that provide patients with tools to process trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster healing in a supportive environment.
• Engage actively during crises with timely interventions, providing immediate support to patients in trauma-related emergencies.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive cohesive and comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available support resources, enhancing their understanding of the treatment process.
• Maintain accurate and secure documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans while adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance care strategies and share insights regarding trauma-informed practices.
• Keep abreast of the latest research related to trauma therapy and actively incorporate best practices into therapeutic work.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clients for this position are individuals navigating the complexities of trauma, ranging from those with PTSD to those experiencing the effects of complex trauma and dissociative disorders. Our clinic serves a diverse population, and our therapists are trained to provide culturally sensitive care tailored to the unique experiences of each patient.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
• A foundational understanding of trauma-related disorders and a strong command of trauma-informed treatment modalities are essential.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in settings focused on trauma counseling.
• Demonstrable experience in applying trauma-focused therapeutic approaches effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate compassionately and non-judgmentally with clients from various backgrounds.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a willingness to learn new technologies as required.

Compensation and Benefits
