Position Overview Solace Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a Full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist who is passionate about providing exceptional mental health care. Work Environment This position allows for a full-time remote work setting within a community health clinic framework. Therapists will primarily conduct consultations and therapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms, reducing geographical barriers and increasing accessibility for our clients. While the standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, flexibility is required to accommodate client needs, particularly during peak hours or crisis situations. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of each patient's unique experiences and challenges. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, taking into account clients' cultural backgrounds and personal values. Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on empowering clients and enhancing their coping mechanisms to improve overall mental health. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team that may include psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other professionals to deliver coordinated care. Deliver crisis intervention and support for clients in mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and immediate needs are met. Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care. Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to legal and ethical standards to protect patient confidentiality. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing cultural competence training to enhance team dynamics and treatment effectiveness. Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and relevant cultural considerations that impact mental health therapy, ensuring the highest quality of care. Patient Population / Client Focus The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, providing services to ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant communities. This diverse client focus requires not only clinical expertise but also a deep understanding and respect for cultural differences in expressing mental health issues and seeking treatment. The therapist will have the opportunity to make a substantial impact in the lives of those often underserved or marginalized in traditional health settings. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon. Thorough understanding of mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches. Experience in delivering culturally responsive therapy within both individual and group contexts. Excellent crisis intervention skills along with the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport and effectively engage with a wide range of individuals. Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications for documentation and patient management. A commitment to upholding professional ethics, maintaining client confidentiality, and establishing appropriate professional boundaries. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to enhance overall treatment outcomes. Preferred Experience Prior experience working with culturally diverse populations and demonstrated skills in cultural competency in therapy practice. Experience with telehealth services and familiarity with various digital therapeutic tools. Proven track record of participation in professional development activities, including continuing education in mental health practices. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
