Work Environment This role is entirely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own space while maintaining a collaborative connection with a dedicated team of mental health professionals. The role requires a commitment to flexible working hours, primarily scheduled from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, but with some adaptability necessary to meet patient needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough clinical assessments using a variety of evidence-based practices to develop tailored treatment plans that facilitate client progress. Implement therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), customizing sessions to suit the distinct needs of each client. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring that all patient interactions and treatments are well-logged and reviewed. Actively collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team, which includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow mental health counselors, participating in case consultations to enhance service delivery. Educate clients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and available community resources, enabling them to take an active role in their mental health journey. Engage in ongoing professional development and stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health practices. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Mental Health Counselor at Wild Sun Behavioral and Health Wellness, you will be working with a diverse client population, including individuals facing trauma, severe anxiety, depressive disorders, and other complex mental health challenges. Your ability to engage empathetically and provide culturally competent care will be crucial in establishing trusting therapeutic relationships and effective treatment outcomes. Qualifications A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. An active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of Oregon. Proficiency in solution-focused interventions, demonstrating an understanding of how to tailor approaches to the unique needs of clients for personalized care. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering an environment of trust and respect. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, essential for navigating complex clinical scenarios.
