Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor at our clinic, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients' mental health, identifying needs, and formulating individualized treatment plans that align with evidence-based practices.
• Providing ongoing therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to guide patients through their treatment journeys.
• Regularly monitoring and evaluating client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure effectiveness and positive outcomes.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in accordance with clinic policies and state regulations.
• Facilitating referrals to additional healthcare professionals when clients require specialized support, such as medication management or psychiatric evaluations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on adult clients experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance use challenges, and eating disorders. You will work collaboratively with each client to create a nurturing and safe therapeutic environment that fosters healing and personal growth, regardless of the challenges they face.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:

• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• A minimum of two years related experience in a clinical setting, providing therapy to diverse populations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders, effective treatment methodologies, and the ability to apply culturally competent approaches in therapy.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Trim And Healthy Mental Clinic offers competitive compensation in the range of USD 120,000 – 140,000 per year, with a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
