Position Overview

Family Wise Counseling, LLC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Gresham, Oregon. In this full-time remote role, you will provide specialized mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma, such as veterans, abuse survivors, and those grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, or dissociative disorders. Work Environment

This position offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your own environment while engaging directly with clients through virtual means or in our outpatient office as necessary. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some flexibility may be needed to accommodate patient scheduling. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, healthcare providers, and support staff to ensure comprehensive care and foster a supportive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history and determine the best treatment strategies.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that focus on building resilience and guiding clients toward trauma recovery.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support healing.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing patients with the tools to process trauma and learn effective coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other professionals to deliver coordinated, integrated treatment.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for patients during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available resources to enhance understanding and support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case notes, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in mental healthcare.
• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development, focusing on trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves individuals who have suffered various types of trauma, ranging from single-incident experiences to prolonged exposure to distressing situations. By utilizing trauma-informed methodologies, you will be actively involved in transforming lives and empowering patients to reclaim their narratives. Your work will directly contribute to improving patient outcomes while fostering resilience and healing.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
• Understanding of trauma-related disorders and the application of trauma-informed approaches in therapy.
• A compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications necessary for patient documentation and record keeping.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a preference for those with a background in trauma-focused therapies.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering evidence-based treatments for trauma-related conditions.
• Experience in managing high-stress situations while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Along with a sign-on bonus, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
