The Prevent Anxiety Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma backgrounds and establish appropriate treatment strategies.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and resilience, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Implement therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy settings.
• Facilitate sessions where patients can express their thoughts and emotions, helping them to process trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate closely with medical professionals to ensure holistic care, including communicating patient needs, progress, and potential crises.
• Provide crisis intervention during emergencies, offering immediate support to patients in distress.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, available resources, and self-care techniques.
• Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant documentation of all patient interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Engage in regular case consultations and professional development sessions to enhance trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in trauma therapy to ensure high standards of care and efficacy in treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, accidents, and natural disasters. You will be working with adults and adolescents who suffer from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your compassionate approach and specialized skills will help empower them to reclaim their lives through healing and resilience-building.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in trauma-focused therapies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and a deep understanding of trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
• A strong ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress, crisis situations.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, valuing diverse perspectives and collaboration.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with current mental health trends and evidence-based best practices in trauma therapy.
• Proven track record of effective communication and patient engagement strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
