Hope Balance Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist, specifically a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), to join our expanding team. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home. By leveraging telehealth platforms, we provide high-quality mental health services to patients throughout the Austin, Texas area and beyond. Our flexible work hours generally encompass a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, although some adaptability may be required to meet patient needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand individual patient experiences and formulate effective treatment plans tailored to their needs.
• Apply evidence-based therapeutic interventions in individual, family, and group therapy settings with respect to patients' cultural backgrounds and personal circumstances.
• Engage in active case management by collaborating with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment for clients.
• Provide crisis intervention support to clients in acute distress or facing mental health emergencies, using strong crisis intervention skills to stabilize situations.
• Facilitate educational workshops for patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and available community resources.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards while leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and cultural competency training to enhance the overall service delivery within the practice.
• Stay abreast of current research findings, best practices, and cultural considerations that inform effective mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a rich tapestry of clients, including those from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant communities. This role emphasizes cultural competence, recognizing the different experiences and challenges faced by these groups in their mental health journeys. You will play a critical role in creating a welcoming environment where all clients feel valued and are able to express their unique needs and aspirations.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• A current, valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is required.
• Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and the importance of cultural competence in therapeutic practice.
• Experience in conducting individual and group therapy sessions with a focus on culturally responsive methodologies.
• Strong crisis intervention capabilities, ensuring the ability to manage challenging situations with a calm and effective approach.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and connect with diverse clients.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and computer applications necessary for documentation and operational tasks.
• A commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries at all times.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a telehealth setting or remote counseling frameworks is highly desirable.
• Fluency in additional languages is considered an asset and may be beneficial in reaching a broader patient base.
• Prior involvement in community health initiatives or outreach programs aimed at marginalized populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
