Social Media Manager

We are seeking a strategic and creative Social Media Manager to lead content and social media efforts across key owned channels. This person will be responsible for shaping social and content strategy, managing the content calendar around product launches, and driving engagement, brand affinity, loyalty, and sales growth. This role partners cross-functionally with marketing and related teams and reports to senior marketing leadership. Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week onsite in Los Angeles, CA. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic social media and content marketing plans that support sales growth, community engagement, brand awareness, and overall customer experience. Own and manage a content calendar across social platforms, with a strong focus on Instagram and TikTok, while identifying opportunities to expand into additional channels as needed. Partner with internal creative teams and external content creators to brief, develop, and deliver channel-specific creative assets and copy. Create innovative and differentiated social concepts that support product promotion and broader brand objectives. Serve as the internal subject matter expert on social media trends, platform best practices, emerging channels, and algorithm updates. Concept, capture, and produce timely, trend-driven content onsite, including mobile-first content, short-form video, and community-sourced assets. Provide direction, mentorship, and support to a Social Media Specialist. Collaborate with growth marketing on campaign strategy, customer acquisition efforts, influencer and creator initiatives, and partnership opportunities. Work closely with community management to maintain a consistent brand voice and strengthen the connection between community audiences and organic social channels. Deliver weekly and monthly KPI reporting to leadership and cross-functional partners. Analyze social performance and recommend optimizations based on data and insights. Qualifications At least 5 years of experience in social media management. 1–2 years of team management experience. Strong understanding of consumer-facing brands and customer engagement. Creative, curious thinker with a track record of bringing brands to life in innovative ways. Deep knowledge of social media trends, storytelling, and audience engagement. Experience leading strategy and content for large-scale B2C e-commerce social accounts, ideally with significant audience growth and engagement results. Experience with social media management tools and interest in testing new platforms and technologies. Strong awareness of pop culture, trends, and consumer behavior. Comfort creating a range of content formats, including short-form video, memes, GIFs, and user-generated content, and willingness to appear on camera when needed. Experience working with in-house creative teams, including briefing and art direction. Experience partnering with influencers and content creators. Strong storytelling skills and the ability to engage audiences effectively. Comfort analyzing social media performance metrics and adjusting strategy based on insights. Some familiarity with paid marketing channels such as paid social, SEM, and affiliate marketing. Ability to work onsite in Los Angeles, CA on a regular hybrid schedule.
