Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage directly with assigned clients, conducting assessments, and providing counseling both in-person and virtually focused on symptoms related to major mental illness and severe emotional disorders.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, participating in team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment strategies aimed at achieving collective goals.

• Build trusting relationships with clients and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding as you address their unique cultural backgrounds and personal experiences.

• Implement evidence-based interventions tailored to individual client needs, continuously monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

• Facilitate crisis interventions as required, employing best practices to ensure the safety and well-being of clients during critical moments.

• Work within the school's established systems to ensure clients have access to necessary resources and additional support services, creating comprehensive care plans.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation regarding client progress, treatment outcomes, and compliance with organizational standards.

• Participate in professional development opportunities, expanding your skills and contributing to team knowledge, particularly in respect to diverse practices in social work and mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on children and adolescents in the school system who are facing mental health challenges that impact their academic performance and social interactions. You will serve a diverse population, recognizing and respecting the various cultural backgrounds and life experiences of each client. This role is critical in addressing the mental health needs that arise during developmental transitions, helping students navigate their challenges effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

• A valid and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, particularly working with children and adolescents in a school or community setting.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and handle a caseload effectively.

• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with an emphasis on empathy and rapport-building.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in school-based mental health services or a related public health setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, along with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off.
