Director, EEDI Business Lead- Commercial

Director-level role leading equity, diversity, and inclusion strategy for a major function at AbbVie. Reports to Director of Programs and Business Partnerships; combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, partnering with senior leaders and HR centers to drive measurable organizational impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead EEDI strategy execution for assigned function, including roadmaps and stakeholder management
• Direct EEDI councils by establishing goals, priorities, and operating models aligned to business strategy
• Co-design and deliver inclusive EEDI programs with accountability for adoption and measurable outcomes
• Embed systemic changes in talent processes using change management to drive year-over-year metric progress
• Advise HR teams on evidence-based methods to integrate EEDI into people and business processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree or EEDI certification preferred
• 8+ years of EEDI work experience; 5+ years in leadership or consulting roles
• Proven ability to translate trends into innovative practices at enterprise scale
• Senior business partnering experience with ability to influence VP-level stakeholders
• Strong data analytics skills to assess initiative effectiveness and establish KPIs
• Excellent written, verbal, and facilitation skills with cross-functional stakeholders
• Deep understanding of promoting EEDI in large, complex, multi-national organizations
