Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with an industry-leading leader in truck upfitting, modification, and repair to help them find qualified candidates for a Shop Operations Manager at their company. What You’ll Do as a Shop Operations Manager: Building and managing the shop schedule Assigning technicians and setting daily priorities Keeping jobs moving through the shop without unnecessary delays Supporting technicians when they hit roadblocks Coordinating with parts, inventory, engineering, fabrication, and administration Making sure jobs are properly documented Watching labor hours, job progress, and schedule commitments Communicating job status and timeline updates Making operational decisions throughout the day Holding quality standards before work leaves the shop Managing rework, warranty issues, and customer concerns after the sale Helping improve shop flow, accountability, safety, and efficiency Customer interfacing for fly-in service work, job updates, and problem solving What You Need to Bring to the Shop Operations Manager Role: Heavy truck, equipment, fabrication, hydraulic, or manufacturing experience is strongly preferred Organized without being rigid, practical and decisive Comfortable leading mechanics, welders, and technicians Able to communicate clearly with both shop employees and customers Strong at follow-through and willing to hold people accountable Able to understand technical work without needing to personally perform every task Calm when priorities change, while focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction Experience with truck equipment, hydraulics, PTOs, electrical, fabrication, or service work is a major plus Why You’ll Like Working with Doherty Staffing Solutions Enjoy weekly pay , access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
