Director/Team Lead, Valuation Center of Excellence (CoE)

Pfizer seeks a Director/Team Lead for its Valuation Center of Excellence to oversee financial R&D valuations, analytical frameworks, and decision support for portfolio prioritization. The role combines decision analysis leadership with valuation methodology ownership, AI-enabled workflow development, and management of 3-4 direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute AI-assisted valuation roadmap, designing reusable prompts and workflows for model development and quality checks
- Partner with therapeutic area decision analysis directors to frame business questions and structure complex decisions using decision quality methods
- Own valuation metrics and Common Analytical Practices standards for portfolio prioritization and multi-billion dollar investment decisions
- Lead Valuation CoE team through performance management, capability building, and career development of junior decision analysis talent
- Create executive presentations and governance materials communicating value drivers, scenarios, and recommendations to leadership forums
Requirements
- BA/BS in life science, finance, engineering, or quantitative discipline
- 8+ years in consulting, banking, equity research, corporate finance, or decision analysis
- 3+ years building pharmaceutical asset valuations
- Expert proficiency in cash flow modeling, eNPV, eIRR, decision trees, and Monte Carlo simulation
- Deep knowledge of pharma R&D economics including phase probabilities and development drivers
- Experience establishing valuation standards and quality governance frameworks
