Your role will be remote, allowing you to connect with patients and colleagues from the comfort of your own space while maintaining a flexible schedule. Working Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, there may be occasional adjustments needed to accommodate patient appointments. Our Community Health Clinic is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services, and our supportive team collaborates closely to deliver coordinated care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate patient conditions, integrating their personal histories into treatment planning.

• Develop and implement evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to individual patients, always considering their cultural and personal backgrounds.

• Provide therapeutic services including individual counseling, family therapy, and group therapy sessions designed to address various mental health concerns confronted by our patients.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated mental health care plans.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring they receive the necessary interventions.

• Educate patients and their families about various mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and available community resources to promote informed care choices.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.

• Participate actively in case discussions, team meetings, and cultural competency training sessions to foster a collaborative and growing professional environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• A current and valid professional license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Virginia.

• Profound knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment strategies, and a commitment to cultural competence in therapeutic practice.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering individual and group therapy using culturally responsive techniques.

• Strong abilities in crisis intervention and maintaining composure under pressure during challenging situations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build rapport with diverse individuals and families.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant software applications.

• Commitment to upholding professional ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality, and establishing healthy professional boundaries.

Preferred Experience\n

At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Mental Health Counselor, providing therapeutic support in a clinical or community-based setting, ideally with a focus on culturally diverse groups.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
