Work Environment\n

This position will be fully remote, reflecting our commitment to flexibility and work-life balance. You will work from your own home or a suitable location, connecting with patients through telehealth platforms and ensuring that top-notch mental health services are accessible to everyone. Your work hours will generally be Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally-sensitive mental health assessments, enabling you to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient's unique experiences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, tailoring approaches to address the diverse cultural and personal backgrounds of your patients.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that are designed to tackle mental health concerns, promoting resilience and overall well-being.

• Collaborate closely with other health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to guarantee holistic and coordinated care for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, demonstrating poise and decisiveness to support patients in times of distress.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment solutions, and available community resources to empower them in their healing journeys.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal regulations and ethical guidelines, ensuring that patient privacy is upheld at all times.

• Engage actively in case conferences and team meetings, contributing to the development of culturally competent practices within our clinic.

• Stay updated with advancements in mental health research, integrating best practices and current cultural considerations into your therapeutic work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patient population includes individuals from diverse backgrounds, specifically targeting those from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. You will play a critical role in addressing their mental health needs through inclusive practices that affirm their identities while promoting healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid professional license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State is required.
\n
• A deep understanding of various mental health disorders, evidence-based treatments, and the importance of cultural competency in therapeutic settings.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy, employing culturally responsive techniques that respect and address the backgrounds of your patients.

• Demonstrated crisis intervention capabilities with a calm and measured approach in high-pressure situations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an innate ability to build trust and rapport with clients of differing backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer proficiency.
\n
• A commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, ethical standards, and confidentiality in patient interactions.

• A team-oriented mindset capable of collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
