Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health during initial consultations.

• Document detailed case histories and treatment progress from the initial assessment to the completion of therapy.
\n
• Develop and implement personalized treatment and intervention plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities to foster therapeutic connections and support.
\n
• Regularly monitor clients' progress in relation to their treatment plans and adjust them as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including external mental health specialists, medical professionals, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Maintain follow-up communications with psychiatrists regarding changes in medication or strategies for clients requiring hospitalization.
\n
• Proactively identify and mitigate barriers to recovery and implement strategies to empower clients and their families in overcoming challenges.

• Provide guidance and resources to family members and primary caregivers, helping them manage mental behavioral challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patients come from various backgrounds and often face issues ranging from anxiety and depression to complex addiction disorders and co-occurring conditions. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R within the state of New York.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by excellent interpersonal abilities.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in the field of mental health.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, ideally in a community health clinic or similar setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective patient management.

• Understanding of the interplay between physical and emotional health conditions and their impact on mental health treatment.

• Knowledge of addiction disorders and their treatment methodologies is beneficial.

• Acquainted with the best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
