Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, evaluating how medical conditions impact our patients' mental wellbeing, and gather relevant history to inform treatment strategies.

• Document all patient encounters accurately and confidentially, adhering to legal and ethical standards in record-keeping.

• Engage in regular team meetings and case conferences to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care and to discuss best practices.

• Stay actively informed on the latest research, therapeutic techniques, and advancements in integrated care methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals within our community, particularly those experiencing mental health challenges that are compounded by medical issues. You will work with a diverse patient demographic, from adolescents to adults, and provide the necessary support to help them navigate complex life situations.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker-R (LCSW-R), Licensed Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York.

• Strong theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in treating individuals with co-occurring medical and mental health conditions.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling constructive interactions with patients, family members, and interdisciplinary colleagues.
