Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and maintain thorough documentation throughout the client's treatment journey, from initial contact to discharge.

• Assess and analyze clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health challenges to inform appropriate intervention strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized intervention and recovery plans aimed at achieving therapeutic goals.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques tailored to the needs of clients.
\n
• Continuously monitor clients’ progress throughout their treatment plan, adjusting approaches as necessary based on their evolving needs.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare providers, to coordinate holistic care and interventions.
\n
• Provide follow-up support for clients admitted to hospitals to ensure continuity of care and address any emerging challenges.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventative strategies to mitigate risks and support clients on their path to wellness.

• Engage with family members and caregivers to enhance their understanding and management of the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Inner Wisdom, you will work with a diverse population that includes individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and various adjustment disorders. Your role will focus on fostering a therapeutic alliance with clients, encouraging open communication, and ensuring that every client feels heard and understood. You will utilize your skills to create effective treatment solutions tailored specifically for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A solid track record demonstrating successful completion of NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations.
\n
• Exceptional understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment models, and best practices as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for documentation and case management.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mental health counselor demonstrating a proficiency in therapeutic practices and client interactions.

• Experience working with clients facing addiction disorders and managing associated health conditions.
\n
• Strong familiarity with pharmacological treatments prescribed by healthcare providers and how they impact mental health.
\n
• Previous involvement in conducting workshops or group therapy sessions is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000–100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
