Medical Assistant

Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and providers Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures Assist providers in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and procedures within established guidelines Understand provider-to-patient flow and anticipate providers’ next steps Prepare rooms before and after patients, including checking equipment at the beginning of each shift Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions Scan retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies daily and alert Head MA and/or GM of low supplies Perform inventory responsibilities and stock supplies and equipment as requested Attend in-house training and continuing education opportunities Requirements Previous healthcare experience is required Dermatology experience is required Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Excellent patient relation and customer services skills Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends Availability Monday through Friday within operating hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm Open flexibility to help cover in a team environment Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in patient care within a dermatology setting, including assisting with medical and cosmetic procedures, managing patient flow, and utilizing EMR software. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for providing excellent patient relations and support.
