Senior Accountant — Equity + High-Growth SaaS (NYC, Hybrid)

$130,000 - $150,000 + Equity | NYC- Hybrid/Remote One of NYC's fastest growing A.I native Prop tech firms, who just closed Series A, is searching for their first permanent accounting hire to partner and work directly under the VP of finance. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-caliber accounting professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. The role offers broad, hands-on exposure across core finance operations with real ownership from day one. You’ll play a key role in shaping financial processes, driving efficiency and building scalable infrastructure as the business continues to expand rapidly. Key responsibilities to include: Own key components of the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and supporting analysis Take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations across AP, AR and billing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all financial processes Maintain high-quality financial records and continuously improve reporting schedules, controls and processes Support cash flow monitoring, forecasting and reporting to support strategic decision-making Help design and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies and scalable finance workflows Partner cross-functionally to improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy across the business Support audit preparation and external reporting requirements as the company scales Contribute to finance systems improvements and process automation initiatives to increase efficiency Profile: 4+ years accounting experience in a high-growth, VC-backed SaaS or software business Strong technical accounting foundation with hands-on month-end close experience Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced environment with significant ownership Strong analytical skills with ability to explain financial movements clearly Excellent communication skills and confident working with non-finance stakeholders Proactive, detail-oriented and excited by building processes in early-stage environments Please get in touch ASAP with your resume as this opportunity will not be around for long.
