Work Environment\n

This Full-Time position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while maintaining a strong connection with our multidisciplinary team. While the majority of your patient interactions will occur via telehealth, you may occasionally visit our outpatient office to engage in collaborative meetings or training sessions. Regular business hours will be maintained, although some evening availability may be required during peak times.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate the mental health needs of patients, developing individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances.

• Provide short-term individual counseling sessions and crisis intervention services, addressing a broad spectrum of mental health concerns, ranging from anxiety and depression to more complex psychological issues.

• Facilitate both in-person and virtual therapy groups and workshops that focus on relevant topics such as coping strategies, stress management, and personal development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Full-Time Mental Health Counselor at Prosperity Emotional and Mental Services, you will serve a broad and diverse patient population, including individuals facing mental health challenges within the hospital setting. Many patients may experience acute episodes or chronic conditions, requiring you to demonstrate sensitivity, cultural competence, and a solid understanding of the complexities involved in their care.

Qualifications\n

• Active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) .

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related discipline.

• Proven understanding of the challenges and mental health issues faced by patients in a hospital environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and a diverse medical community.

• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices and brief therapy modalities applicable in an outpatient counseling framework.
