Exciting Opportunity: VP of Asset Management
\n \nCandidate Location Preference: Brooklyn, NY (hybrid) – must live in the NYC area; ~25% travel nationally
\n \nCORY is hiring a strategic, results-driven VP of Asset Management in Brooklyn, NY. This is a unique opportunity to report directly to the CEO and drive performance across a growing national multifamily portfolio.
\n \nAbout Our Client:
\nOur client is a vertically integrated real estate investment and management platform that acquires, repositions, and operates conventional multifamily properties nationwide.
\n \nYour Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Set asset-level business plans, including hold/sell, repositioning, and value-add strategies \n
- Own budgets, reforecasts, and long-range projections to drive NOI and cash flow \n
- Hold property management teams accountable to leasing, pricing, and expense targets \n
- Underwrite and manage capital projects, renovations, and unit upgrades \n
- Partner with Capital Markets on refinancings, debt compliance, and lender reporting \n
- Support acquisitions and dispositions through diligence, underwriting, and transition \n
- Prepare investor, ownership, and lender reporting \n
- Lead and develop a team of two Asset Managers \n
The Skills and Experience You Bring:
\n- \n
- 10+ years of real estate asset management, including 5+ in a senior or supervisory role \n
- Conventional multifamily experience required; multi-market U.S. experience strongly preferred \n
- Advanced financial modeling and underwriting skills (Excel/ARGUS); Yardi or RealPage experience \n
- Working knowledge of debt structures, loan covenants, and JV reporting \n
- Strong communicator who can present and influence at the CEO and ownership level \n
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related field; MBA or CFA a plus \n
