Interventional RadiographerMohawk Valley Health System is hiring a Interventional Radiographer for Full Time, Day Shift. With this role, you may be eligible for a Sign On Bonus of up to $10,000! Under the direction of the Vascular Center Coordinator, the Interventional Radiographer performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities.Core Job Responsibilities:Demonstrates knowledge and proper operation of angiographic equipment including proper selection of technical factors, proper identification of radiographic images, proper programming of equipment, and proper processing of radiographic images for permanent storageResponsible for reporting malfunctioning radiographic equipment and facilitating prompt repair as appropriatePositions and prepares patients for angiography procedures including shielding, aseptic preparation and appropriate draping for various proceduresDemonstrates knowledge and properly prepares appropriate equipment for use in interventional radiology proceduresPerforms all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errorsInjects contrast media under the direct presence and supervision of the Radiologist performing the procedureDemonstrates ability to assist physicians with procedures in the Imaging Services DepartmentAssists in maintaining department records and reportsPractices medical and surgical aseptic proceduresPerform other duties as requiredEducation/Experience Requirements:REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalentGraduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.Licensed by the State of New York to practice Radiologic Technology.Current BCLS certification.PREFERRED: Experience in angiography preferredLicensure/Certification Requirements:Disclaimer Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to their age, race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, age, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, et al), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, protected veteran status, or disability.
