Travel Nurse RN - Stepdown - $2,304 per week

Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in New York, New York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown Unit (PCU) Job Type: Travel/Contract (13 Weeks) Shift: Day and Night shifts available (typically 3x12-hour shifts) Schedule: 36 hours/week (weekends and holidays as required) Start Date: ASAP (varies by assignment) Job Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to Stepdown/Progressive Care patients requiring close monitoring. Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment. Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as prescribed. Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify changes in patient status. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement care plans. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate documentation using the facility's electronic medical record (EMR). Requirements: Active RN license (state license or Compact License, as applicable) Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown/PCU experience BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) Telemetry experience required Previous travel experience preferred (facility dependent) Experience with EMR systems (Epic/Cerner preferred, depending on facility) About Prime Staffing At Prime Staffing, we understand the importance of finding the perfect fit for both our clients and candidates.
