Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and intake interviews, meticulously recording each client's case from the first consultation through to their treatment conclusion.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to identify needs and formulate tailored intervention strategies.
\n
• Design and implement individualized and group therapy plans that address various issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational challenges.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to promote client participation and healing.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress relative to treatment goals, adapting strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and community service providers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Assist families and primary caregivers in managing mental health challenges, providing education and resources to foster supportive environments.
\n
• Proactively manage client referrals to additional services when needed, ensuring clients have access to the full spectrum of resources available.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client population, including individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges. You will play a critical role in supporting clients from various cultural backgrounds, ages, and life experiences, all while addressing underlying issues related to emotional distress, addiction, and psychosocial factors. Your empathy and clinical expertise will be essential as you guide clients towards improved mental health and well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider (LPC/MHSP), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of Tennessee.

• A verified passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of client documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor or therapist, particularly in a community health setting.

• Strong understanding of various mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and substance use disorders.

• Knowledge of and adherence to the best practices advocated by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and compassionately.

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
