Overview of the Role The Director of Sales is responsible for ensuring delivery of core business goals - establishing Costco prominence, delivering incremental sales, and fostering trusting retailer relationships that can be leveraged in the future. They are responsible for supporting and developing ongoing processes at a regional level and will be the main driver of top line revenue growth and the lead for ongoing strategic planning and communication. The Director of Sales will own top-to-top communication with key leadership team members internally and externally. Fully Remote must be local to the East Coast Salary range $145,000 - $155,000 based on experience, qualifications and skills Travel Requirements: Up to 25% - travel possibilities would include major industry shows, client meetings, team trainings, leadership trainings and travel to corporate offices; Min 1x/region/month; Top tier clients – quarterly What You’ll do at C.A. Fortune Cross-functional, collaborative engagement with Leadership, Account Managers and Sales Support through the employee lifecycle Facilitate a transparent collaborative partnership with clients & internal cross-functional team members Responsible for the implementation of CAF selling techniques Coordinate with clients to develop and implement any applicable specific brand training Participate in regular market interaction with team to understand the situation “on the ground” and provide active guidance and ongoing training, as necessary Ensure team is trained on appropriate tools and technology, and that those tools and technology are being put to proper use. Utilize shared appointment calendar Provide Meeting Recaps – 24hr post meeting, next business day Regular, consistent client communication to manage business Proactive communication Close of business acknowledgment with client/buyer 24-hour response towards resolution Perform Monthly comps/clubs walks in assigned Costco regions Purchase competitive samples/Recap to team as needed Communicate with leadership on a regular basis to help problem solve and ensure best practices are being shared Provide direction to clients on the best way to package information that allows for the CAF team to understand and leverage the proper resources to execute respective responsibilities Act as the conduit of communication for all significant information flow with supervisors and the client teams, including regular communication with the client Director or Retail What You Should Bring to the Table 5+ years of experience in a sales function required; Experience in a sales leadership position Must have experienceworking with and selling to Costco Must have experience selling productdirect to Costco and across multiple regions and categories throughout the club A demonstrated competency in multi-tasking and problem-solving with focus on meeting deadlines Strong analytical and strategic thinker; can turn self-developed strategies/efficient processes into execution Extremely organized and detail-oriented Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience building and managing Costco programs Advanced communications skills, ability to clearly articulate complex concepts in a concise mannerandestablishrapport quickly Bachelor’s degree and other relevant certifications You Will Stand Out if You Have Experience in a sales leadership position Prior agency/ broker experience specializing in Costco Extensive Costco experience with natural food & beverage brands PTO and sick days 11 paid company holidays per year 1 floating holiday 3 months fully paid parental leave (regardless of gender) Medical, dental, and vision Paid company life insurance 401k with company match Summer hours (half day Fridays from Memorial Day thru Labor Day) Come As You Are C.A.
