Overview

A hospital-based opportunity is available for a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to provide operating room coverage during a maternity leave. This role includes pediatric anesthesia cases involving neonatal through adult patients, with a mix of solo practice and CRNA supervision.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: August 10, 2026

• End Date: November 16, 2026

Schedule

• Monday Friday

• 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

• No call required

Practice Details

• Hospital-based operating room setting

• Level I Trauma Center

• 14 operating rooms

• Care model includes both solo practice and CRNA supervision

• Patient population includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients

Case Volume

• Approximately surgical cases per day

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for pediatric and neonatal surgical cases

• Supervise CRNAs within a care team model

• Manage ventilation and perioperative anesthesia care

• Collaborate with surgical, nursing, and perioperative teams

Required Case Experience

• Neonatal general surgical cases

• Pediatric general surgical cases

• Adult general surgical cases

• Thoracic cases (excluding open heart)

• Complex orthopedic cases

• Neurosurgical cases

• Ventilation management

Preferred Experience

• Pediatric anesthesia across subspecialties excluding cardiac and transplant surgery

• Arterial line insertion

• Acute volume and blood pressure management

Requirements

• Board Certified in Pediatric Anesthesiology Required

• Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship Required

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS Required

• Active Ohio License Highly Preferred

• NPDB Self-Query within 30 days Required

Credentialing

• Fingerprinting required immediately after acceptance
