Accounting and Payroll Specialist Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1092 Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually Dynamic Architectural and Engineering firm in downtown Minneapolis seeks a highly motivated, professional, and dependable person to provide support for our corporate accounting team. This position is ideal for someone with strong detail oriented, team player, and well organized that is looking for an opportunity to further explore and develop their skills within a corporate business environment since it will flex between a broad range of accounting, payroll, and business compliance. Responsibilities Assist in financial month-end close process Review designated General Ledger accounts and activity Prepare and record monthly journal entries and related account reconciliations Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts Process accounts payable for corporate or payroll related expenses Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues, effectively and in a timely manner Completebi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now Softwareas needed Assist with employee benefits administration and enrollment Maintaining accurate employee records within the payroll system Support day-to-day payroll and accounting functions Assistwith special accounting or finance projects as assigned Supportinternal and external audit requests Opportunities for Growth You will work closely with top management on a daily basis Have the ability to learn about other areas of business Daily mentorship from a mid-sized firm, direct leadership pipeline Ability to take on increased responsibility to continue to develop in your career Skills and Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 3-5 years experiencein similar or adjacentwork Previous ADP Workforce Now or other HRIS system experience preferred Previous NetSuite (ERP) system experience is a plus Microsoft Suite experience with expertise in excel spreadsheets High level of confidentiality for sensitive information Ability to learn and utilize new technology Must be extremely accurate and have a highly developed orientation to detail Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually Excellent communication and organizational skills Benefits Wold offers a competitive wage and a variety of benefits including health and dental insurance, life insurance, parental leave, disability, personal time off, flexible spending accounts and a 401(k) plan.
