The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a board-certified Epileptologist to join the Department of Neurology. Academic rank and track are commensurate with academic record and experience. Position Overview The Division of Epilepsy within the Department of Neurology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks to hire an epileptologist who is board‑eligible or certified in Neurology and Epilepsy. Expertise is required in the specific area of acute, chronic and tertiary care of epilepsy patients, EEG interpretation, electrocorticography, and evaluation of patients for epilepsy surgery, including stereo‑EEG, intra‑ and extraoperative functional brain mapping and neurostimulation (VNS, RNS, DBS), both in implantable devices and in managing the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. equivalent degree. Dedicated clinical/administrative and nursing support is provided. Duties and Responsibilities Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, fellows and trainees at all levels, both in clinical neurology and epileptology. Clinical responsibilities may include outpatient epilepsy clinics, EEG/ICU reading and EMA service.
