Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Providing brief, targeted interventions for patients in need of mental health support, ensuring they receive timely care.

• Collaborating closely with primary care providers to identify patients suitable for primary care services versus those in need of specialty mental health care.

• Setting up robust follow-up protocols to assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, promoting ongoing stability and recovery.

• Developing and implementing relapse prevention plans for patients identified as 'at risk' to enhance their stability and overall mental health.

• Documenting patient progress meticulously in treatment charts, maintaining comprehensive records that inform future treatment decisions.

• Monitoring and coordinating behavioral health services delivery, integrating care across providers while respecting patient privacy.

• Empowering patients through education, offering self-management skills that enable them to engage proactively in their recovery journeys.

• Consulting with clinic management and fellow team members to enhance behavioral health services and evaluate outcomes effectively.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.

• A valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of New Jersey.

• A thorough understanding of mental health assessment processes, treatment planning, and various therapeutic techniques, including family and group therapy modalities.

• Proficient knowledge of DSM-IV diagnoses and the ability to recognize signs of developmental psychopathology.

• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to establish effective relationships with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

St. Charles Counseling Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 – 105,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
