Work Environment\n

This role is remote, offering flexibility while allowing you to connect meaningfully with clients. As part of a community health clinic, our work culture values teamwork, collaboration, and diversity. You will be working mostly in virtual spaces, maintaining the same level of commitment, ethics, and accessibility that we practice in person. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct direct therapeutic work with clients experiencing major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders through virtual sessions.

• Utilize evidence-based practices for assessments and treatment, ensuring a focus on the integration of care plans that connect clients with necessary resources and support systems.
\n
• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance service delivery and reach common goals, bringing a spirit of cooperation and communication.
\n
• Prepare and maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans consistent with professional ethical guidelines.
\n
• Participate in continuing education and training sessions to stay current with best practices, particularly regarding diverse populations and specific developmental needs.

• Provide brief intervention and crisis management services, including evaluating and responding to emergencies as necessary.
\n
• Carry a manageable caseload that includes individual, group, and family therapy, monitoring client’s progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.

• Engage with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive understanding and coordination of care.
\n
• Lead and support quality improvement initiatives within the organization, participating in committees aimed at enhancing service delivery.

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds and socio-economic statuses. Many clients will face barriers to mental health services, and our clinic strives to empower them through education, support, and accessible treatment options.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is required.

• Active LCSW licensure in the state of Virginia is mandatory.

• Expert knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders, along with crisis intervention capabilities.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly in conveying complex concepts to clients and colleagues.

• Demonstrated organizational abilities and effective planning skills to manage a caseload efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting is preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a strong asset, enhancing our service for Hispanic clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from $70,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience.
